Feel-good read for my troubled mood

May 19, 2009

Yesterday was a a pretty rough day for me. I got off from work really stressed out and my sister still wasn’t talking to me, following a petty argument we had the other day.  I called up my friends but they were out busy working or doing something else.  Even my best friend had his hands full at work yesterday. So much for a manic Monday.

So I went to my room and searched for books I feel like reading again. I realized by surprise that I had published books which I haven’t actually finished reading yet. I’m sure book aficionados can relate to that feeling when your fascination with books gets so overhelming that you get one book after another, regardless of whether you have or have not finished reading one. You see, when it comes to books, I could never have too many.

I curled up in my bed reading a humor book by Paul de Maio, with my favorite brand of chocolate chips. Nothing eases my rather troubled mood best than reading a good book, with comfort food to boot.

I wrapped up my day already feeling better.
